Ichiro

Here's my second attempt at drawing him:

Drawing hair is hard. It looks good in pencil, and then when I go over it with ink I mess it up. But I'm happy with how it came out overall. You can't become as awesome as Mark Crilley overnight. :D How you make a character look like they're looking in a particular direction, is what I'm trying to figure out.

Here's the first version I did:

The Fox Racing shirt is a family joke.

Linh

Dressed for the Kansas summer.

This is my first try drawing the whole body rather than just the torso. I ran out of space for the feet, and I think I need to work on body proportions, but I like how the wrinkles and the expression came out. I think I did a better job matching the eyes this time. The ball she's holding is supposed to be a glowing-orb thingy. That weird Cthulhu thing in the corner -- interpret it as you will. (It's just a practice doodle.)

Beatrice Clyde, version 1

I know it's been months, but here at last is my first attempt at drawing Beatrice. I also mean to draw her as a chibi as I described in this post. Eventually. I keep getting sidetracked with other drawing ideas.

I'm definitely going to be working on this more. She might look that calm when's she's alone, but she'd look more spirited around Adrimond. I like how her hair came out, but I messed up the coloring.  Next time I'll probably shade it in pencil rather than hurrying to color it. She's not wearing her hairbow because I got frustrated trying to draw it. (She'd be pleased by this development, I'm sure...) Also, next time I'll change her dress, add more detail, make it more Steampunk. And hopefully find a better picture to use as an example for drawing wrinkles than one of a t-shirt.

New favorite thing to listen to

Rainy Mood

Assuming, of course, that it isn't actually raining, rendering the website unnecessary! :)
